Tutoring is available in individual or small group settings through Student Support Services. General subject areas include core curriculum courses like English, Spanish, biology, chemistry, history, political science, physics, psychology, and many others. High-level courses are available upon request and demand.
You must be accepted into the Student Support Services program to receive this free service.
What can you expect in a tutoring session?
Tutoring is provided by our highly trained and experienced tutoring staff. Student Support Services' tutors are not only very knowledgeable in their specific academic areas but also highly proficient in the communication skills necessary for truly valuable assistance. Our tutors are compassionate and will maintain confidentiality. They will help you evaluate your study skills, clarify course content, and give honest and supportive feedback.
Scheduling & Location
Tutoring is conducted during scheduled weekly sessions Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. in our tutoring and computer lab. You may request tutoring after you have had your first success session with your success coach. To sign up, fill out a tutor request form. You may submit the form to your success coach or bring the form to the SSS Office (Sterry 127). We will contact you three to five business days about the status of your request.
SSS is now offering walk-in tutoring for our members. Please refer to the links below to see walk-in times. ***Note: You must be accepted to the program and be an active member to use to use this service.
