Womxn of Color Conference
IMPORTANT UPDATE: Postponed
The Womxn of Color Conference scheduled for March 27, 2020 is postponed.
Texas State University recently announced plans and operational guidelines in response to COVID-19 that include extending the university’s Spring Break for one week (dates will run from March 16 to March 30), hosting online classes until April 12th and practicing social distancing.
While we understand the value of our inaugural gathering, we recognize the importance of supporting a collective effort to reduce the pandemic. Our Planning Committee has decided to postpone and reschedule this event. We will follow up with the future date, time and location.
We are humbled by your commitment, dedication and support of this important and necessary opportunity. We look forward to seeing you then.

The Womxn of Color Conference is an annual event for all who identify as womxn to come together and learn more about themselves while engaging in various forms of self-care.
The conference provides a space for womxn of color to build community, develop skills, and explore the complexities of their multiple marginalized identities. It will feature activities, dialogue, fellowship, speakers, small group facilitated discussion, yoga, meditation, journaling, and more.
Womxn is the non-standard spelling of "women" adopted by some feminists in order to avoid the word ending with "-men" in efforts to be more inclusive.
