The Redefining Men - Male Retreat is for Texas State male students and for self-identified men to learn, network, and build solidarity. The retreat includes interactive workshops and etiquette lunch facilitated by Texas State faculty, staff and mentors on the topics of financial literacy, professional development, gender identity, and empowerment. These tools are resources to retain and graduate our male students.

Though business casual attire is recommended - participants are welcomed to attend as they are or encouraged to visit Career Services’ Career Closet (LBJSC 5-7.1).

  • On-site, day-of or walk-in registration is welcomed.
    All attendees are encourage to pre-register; first-come, first-served basis.
  • Arrive and check-in
    Please bring or provide your Texas State ID or appropriate ID to the check-in tables.
  • Partial participation
    To gain the full experience, participants are encouraged to attend the entire retreat - though not required to attend all of the event.

Prizes at event

On the day of the retreat, participants will automatically enter into a drawing for door prizes as part of the event. Must be in attendance to win. Prizes include:

  • Official TXST Athletics Player Crew T-Shirt (courtesy of Athletics Academic Center)
  • Certificates for Trip to Career Closet (courtesy of Career Services)
