Hispanic Heritage Month
Institutional Inclusive Excellence – Student Initiatives observes National Hispanic Heritage Month (Sept. 15 – Oct. 15) which celebrates the histories, cultures, and contributions of American citizens with Hispanic ancestry. They include: Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Cuba, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Puerto Rico, Uruguay, and Venezuela. It also honors seven of our Latin American neighbors who celebrate their independence in September. Que viva!

Somos Tejas State - Hispanic / Latinx Student Support Fund
Fundraising Campaign: September 15 - October 15
Last year we raised almost $3,000. These funds were used to provide direct support to half a dozen students through conference registration fees, flights, and mini-grants. This year Somos Tejas State is focusing on student retention and professional development. It is critical that our student’s basic needs are met so that they can remain and thrive in college. Your generosity will help students access vital resources to be competitive members in the workplace after graduation.
