Graduation Celebrations

The SDI Office provides three cultural graduation celebrations which highlight the academic accomplishments of students by allowing them an opportunity to celebrate amongst their family, friends and supporters.  These celebrations do not replace the official commencement ceremonies, but add a special touch to the official ceremonies.   For more information, click on the commonly asked questions below.

This graduation reception recognizes the academic achievements and contributions of student Veterans at Texas State.  This program is sponsored by  the Office of Student Diversity and Inclusion and  Veterans Alliance of Texas State.

Lavender Graduation Celebration

This is a cutlural celebration that recognizes Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, Intersexed, Agender, Aromantic, Asexual and Ally (LGBTQIA) students by recognizing their achievements and contributions at Texas State. This program is partially sponsored by the  Office of Vice President for Student Affairsthe Office of Student Diversity and Inclusion and Alliance of Texas State.
